In the Beginning...

12th September 2009.  Two years ago on this day, Russia had just been clinically dismissed by Steve Mclaren's England.  A wave of optimism flooded through the country, a new found belief knowing that qualifying for Euro 2008 was still in their hands.  We all know what happened next.  England lost two out of their next three games with Croatia delivering the coup de grâce to their hopes of qualifying.

What a difference two years makes.  Capello has worked his magic and within two years England look completely different; invigorated, determined, passionate - and playing with pride at last, something which was lost within the Mclaren era.  And what an irony - a 5-1 thrashing of the Croats to signify to the world that they mean business and to crush every remaining demon that remained from that fateful November night.  Watch out world, England are back, better than ever!

And it is with this same spirit of joy and excitement that I bring you this new blog especially dedicated to your EPL needs.  Previews, Reviews, Highlights and more... it is my aim to bring you the joy of football at its best.  As a Manchester United fan I may be slightly inclined to favour them but rest assured for this blog I will try my best to be neutral.  (Really!)  Feel free to post comments but please watch your language.

At this current moment, it is about two hours to the start of Round 5 so please forgive me as I do not have time to prepare previews for today's games.  However, the highlights for each match will be up as soon as possible!  Stay tuned and watch this space...
